Hello!

My name is Sofía Muñiz George and I am a creative individual from Puerto Rico; currently based in New York City.

The idea of becoming a 2D/3D artist started when my creativity was heavily influenced by my grandmother, Margarita Iguina Bravo, who has written and published nine amazing books, naming one of them "Las Aventuras de Kirilo: En busca de una Estrella''. This story gave me my purpose to study animation, specifically, storytelling and concept development at the Savannah College of Art and Design, which inspired me to pitch and direct a short film adaptation of it named “Kirilo”.

I am currently working as a Character Designer/2D Clean-up and Color at Cleos Studios, contributing to the development of an original animated short film “The Resilient Coquí”. In addition to this, I am the creator/owner of “El Juey Azul” where I make merch of my characters and sell it on my online store and at in person art vending events; I also work as a freelance artist, focusing on projects that reflect my cultural background and passion for storytelling.

Thank you for stopping by my website! If you want get in contact you can email me at sofiamunizgeorge@gmail.com or if you want to see more of my work go and see my social media down below.
